Psalms
107:1-16 Oh, give
thanks to the LORD, for He is
good! For His mercy endures
forever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy, And
gathered out of the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and
from the south. They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way; They found
no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, Their soul fainted in them. Then they
cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And
He delivered them out of their distresses. And He led them forth by the right
way, That they might go to a city for a dwelling place. Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the
children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul
with goodness. Those who sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, Bound in
affliction and irons—Because they rebelled against the words of God, And
despised the counsel of the Most High, Therefore He brought down their heart
with labor; They fell down, and there
was none to help. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He saved them out of their
distresses. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And broke
their chains in pieces. Oh, that men
would give thanks to the LORD for
His goodness, And for His
wonderful works to the children of men! For He has broken the gates of bronze,
And cut the bars of iron in two.
Father God give us boldness to speak out and proclaim
your name. Send your Holy Spirit so that we will have the words to say at the
right time to glorify God and Jesus. In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
Revelation 11:14-19 NKJV
Last
week we learned about the two witnesses and their resurrection. This week we
will continue with the last of the seven Trumpet Judgments.
14 The
second woe is past. Behold, the third woe is coming quickly.
Do you remember what this
verse is referring to, meaning the second and third woe? We have to go clear
back to Revelation 8:13 to understand what and where this statement comes from.
Revelation 8:13 And I looked, and I heard an angel flying
through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, "Woe, woe, woe to
the inhabitants of the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of
the three angels who are about to sound!" This is pertaining to the 5th,
6th, & 7th Trumpet Judgments. This angel is telling
us that the judgments left to come upon the people on earth are going to be
worse than the previous ones. Do you remember the 5th and 6th
Trumpets (Woes)? The 5th is locusts that are like scorpions to torment
mankind for five months, but not kill anyone. The 6th is 2,000,000
horsemen of fire, smoke, and brimstone plagues to kill 1/3 of mankind.
15 Then the
seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The
kingdoms of this world have become the
kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and
ever!"
Then
the seventh angel sounded;
This is the last of the trumpets, implying, that it is to introduce the state
of things under which the affairs (sin and corruption) of the world will to come
to a close, meaning the presence of Satan in Heaven, on earth, and the
universe. The timeframe being, the last 3 ½ years of the tribulation, most
often referred to as the Great Tribulation. It is when the Antichrist will rule
the world and modern day religion of all types will be forbidden. Even the Pope
will be evicted of his position, although some say the Pope at that time will
be the Antichrist, there is no scripture that substantiates this. People/Religions
that make this claim are like those that say they know what day things will
come to an end. These people are false prophets.
And
there were loud voices in heaven; This
is loud voices of exultation and praise. The grand consummation had come, the
period so long anticipated, and desired when God should reign on the earth had
arrived, and this lays the foundation for joy and thanksgiving in heaven. It
causes the elders to fall down as we will see in verse 16. It is the answer to
the cry of the Saints under the altar. Revelation 6:9,10 When He
opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been
slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying,
"How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on
those who dwell on the earth?"
Saying,
"The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign
forever and ever!"; This
will come to past and Jesus our Saviour will rule and reign the world, what a
glorious day that will be! The introduction of the Seventh Trumpet/Third Woe is when Satan gets thrown
out of Heaven and forbidden to set foot there again. This is why the angel
flying through the midst of Heaven is saying woe to the inhabitants of earth.
Satan will be beyond wrath, he will be flaming hot angry because he will know
his time is drawing to a close. Revelation
8:13 And I looked, and I heard an
angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, "Woe,
woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the remaining blasts of
the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound!" Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and
you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the
devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a
short time."
About now you’re asking
yourself this, I thought Satan was already thrown out of Heaven, no he hasn’t
he can still go in and out of the presence of God. He is a fallen angel,
meaning his deeds are of evil nature. The first two chapter of Job proves that
Satan has access to the Throne Room of God. Job 1:6-7 Now there
was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and
Satan also came among them. 7 And the LORD said to Satan, "From where do you
come?" So Satan answered the LORD and said, "From going to and fro on
the earth, and from walking back and forth on it." Those in Heaven will know the end is
very near when this event happens. They know Jesus will rule all nations forever
and ever.
16 And the
twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and
worshiped God,
I wonder if these 24
elders get tired of falling on their face. Counting this verse there are five
other times they fall and give praise and worship to God and Jesus. Revelation
4:10, Revelation 5:8, Revelation 5:14, Revelation
7:11, Revelation 19:4 You can rest assured they don’t. What
an honor and privilege to be in the Throne Room with Jesus. One thing when we
will be in that state of a glorified body we will not require rest, therefore
never grow weary.
What do these 24 Elders
represent? They represent the entire plan of God, meaning redemption. These 12 individuals
no doubt will come from Old Testament, and New Testament times. Who these men
are, we do not know for sure, but probably prophets and apostles.
17 saying:
"We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and
who is to come,.
Saying:
"We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and
who is to come; Our
God is true, righteous, and hasn’t ever changed. Revelation 16:5-7 And I heard
the angel of the waters saying: "You are righteous, O Lord, The One who is
and who was and who is to be, Because You have judged these things. 6 For they
have shed the blood of saints and prophets, And You have given them blood to
drink. For it is their just due." 7 And I heard another from the altar saying,
"Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments."
Most people believe and
rationalize their lifestyle with this thought; God is love and times have
changed over the years so God has certainly changed. God will understand and
forgive me for living a lifestyle different than the Bible because the Bible
was for ancient times. The truth is God hasn’t changed. He is the same
yesterday, today, and tomorrow. It is our inherited sin nature that tells us
that God has changed. If we place our faith in anything other than the Cross of
Christ, meaning what Jesus did for us at Calvary, we are only fooling ourselves
so that we can live a life that we chose and not what God has planned for us.
Here are just a few verses from Old Testament, New Testament, and the Book of
Revelation that tells us God hasn’t changed and He never will. Revelation 1:8 "I am the Alpha and
the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who
is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 4:8 The four living creatures, each having
six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or
night, saying: "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and
is to come!" Isaiah 41:4 Who has
performed and done it, Calling
the generations from the beginning? 'I, the LORD, am the first; And with the
last I am He.' " Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same
yesterday, today, and forever. James 1:17

Because
You have taken Your great power and reigned; This shout of joy is because Jesus has had enough of
evil and He is exercising His almighty power upon the world. It pleases those
in Heaven. It is what they have been waiting for and they are glad the day has
come. Their cry of wanting justice is like the cry and thoughts of the Jews of
Jesus time. They wanted a Saviour that would crush their enemies and they would
be put in command over all nations. They were thinking of their fleshly wants
and desires and not of the spiritual realm of things like eternal life.
18 The
nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that
they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets
and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should
destroy those who destroy the earth."
The
nations were angry, and Your wrath has come; The time for the wrath of God has come and for it to be
poured out on earth. This wrath is the Battle of Armageddon. It will be a time
of great unrest in the Middle East and also around the world, but before this
Battle of Armageddon takes place Jesus calls His saints together to reward them
for their services.
And
the time of the dead; The
dead being spoken of here are Born Again Saints that have died and also those
that have gone to meet the Lord via the Rapture. It is time for them to be
judged and given their reward.
That
they should be judged;
This judgment is not the Great White Throne Judgment, it is the Judgment Seat
of Christ. This judgment gives God’s children rewards according to what they
deserve. It is rewards for doing good works, meaning being a light in the
world, walking like Christ, spreading the Gospel, in other words doing things
that bring others to Jesus for salvation. It is living for Jesus and being His
servant.
And
that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who
fear Your name, small and great;
All of God’s children will be judged, pastors, prophets, people of greatness,
people of insignificance, those that fear God, etc. It won’t matter if you’re
rich or poor, all will be treated the same, because our God is fair and just.
Should
destroy those who destroy the earth;
After this judgment of God’s Saints the Battle of Armageddon will take place
and those that cause destruction to God’s creation, will be removed by Jesus
and His Saints that were rewarded. Revelation
19:11-14 Now I saw
heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in
righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were
like a flame of fire, and on His head were
many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in
blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in
fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Revelation 19:21 And the rest were killed with the
sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the
birds were filled with their flesh.
19 Then the
temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His
temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and
great hail.
Then
the temple of God was opened in heaven; This temple is not the temple mentioned in verses 1 and 2
of this chapter. That temple was here on earth and it had an outer court yard
for the Gentiles. There will be no outer court in Heaven, all will be children
of God and reside as one family. This temple is in Heaven and the temple built
by Solomon was patterned after the temple in Heaven. The design for Solomon’s
temple was given to David by God and pass on to Solomon.
And
the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple; The ark of His covenant represents
the New Covenant. Read Hebrews Chapter 9
the old ark (Old Covenant) and the new ark (New Covenant) are talked about. It
goes into detail as far as what the Old Covenant and the New Covenant are all
about. The Old Covenant and priestly duties all ceased when Jesus died on the
Cross, because Jesus was pure and spotless. There is no need for man to be
involved with the forgiveness of sin, if there was then Jesus died in vain. How
can the sacrifice of a pure and spotless man, Jesus Christ, be topped?
And
there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail; It does not say why there were “lightnings,
noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail”. But we do know from past
lessons whenever the greatness of God is displayed, nature responds to God’s
holiness, or it could mean the Trumpet Judgments are finished and the bowl
judgments are next, which will be the worse yet.
Colossians
1:16 For
by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth,
visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or
powers.
All things were
created through Him and for Him.

unless one

Sinners Prayer; Pray this, and if you
believe it with your heart, Jesus will save you!
“Lord
Jesus I know I am a sinner. I confess my
sins to you; I am sorry for my sins; I repent (Meaning, desiring to turn from a
sinful lifestyle.) of all my sins, and I am asking for your forgiveness of all
of my sins. I believe that only you can
forgive sin. I commit my life to you and
ask you to come into my heart, direct, and take charge of my life. I believe that you died to set me free from
my sinful lifestyle and you rose from the dead to give me eternal life, and
right now you are seated at the Right Hand of God Almighty. I believe you are
the Son of God; the only Way, the only Truth, the only Life, and my
Savior.” I believe this and have faith
you will make a new person out of me, by sending the Holy Spirit to dwell in my
heart and lead me in a new life. In Jesus name I pray Amen.” (John 3:16,17;
