Signs Of The Second Coming Of Jesus
9-14-2011 Vol. 5 Part 8
Psalms 43:1-5 NKJV Vindicate me, O God, And plead my cause against an ungodly nation; Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man! For You are the God of my strength; Why do You cast me off? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your tabernacle. Then I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God. Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God. Father we praise your name, we give you all the glory. Jesus we ask that you guide the leaders of this world. Touch their hearts and stir their minds to make decisions and laws that are for the good of mankind. Help these leaders put their differences aside and think about what the people need and what will work to get this great nation back on its feet. Jesus bless all that read this message and help them with any situation that they may be enduring. In Jesus name we pray! Amen!
Matthew 24:36 – 51
Matthew 24:36-51 NKJV "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.  37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.  38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.  40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.  41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.  42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.  43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.  44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.  45 "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?  46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.  47 Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.  48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,' 49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, 51 and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Verses 36: "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. As stated in previous lessons, we don’t know when Jesus will be coming back, no one knows, so whenever you hear someone give a date of when this will take place you can be assured it is wrong. The only thing we know for sure is the signs of things that will be happening, that will lead up to the day and the hour.
These verses have an intertwined meaning which both relate to the Rapture and the second coming of Jesus. I will do my best to explain in a fashion as to not to confuse you. Stage one is the Rapture of the Church which starts the Tribulation period. No one knows when this will take place so we must be ready at all times. During both events people will be carrying on with their normal daily lives and living life as usual. When the Rapture of the Church happens, it will be explained away somehow and people will believe it. Remember God will put a great delusion over those that have knowledge of Jesus, who he is, and what he came to earth as a human to accomplish, so these people will believe what they are told. They will be the only ones left after the Rapture. With the delusion upon the people and when Jesus comes on that white horse these people will then have a revelation and know what is happening, but it will be too late.
This also relates to the people that will be witnessed to during the Tribulation by the 144,000 Jews. The ones that have never heard about Jesus, but through the witnesses they will give their heart to Jesus and have to remain faithful during the Tribulation in order to receive their reward when Jesus returns. They will know approximately when Jesus will come, but not the precise time.
Verses 37 – 39: 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.  38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. The illustration that Jesus gives about Noah can be broken down into three categories:
1.    The Tribulation unbelievers represent the flood victims. They do not know the time of Christ’s return, are unprepared, and are destroyed at the end of the Tribulation when Jesus returns. They will continue with their daily lives of living for the world and fleshly gratifications just like the flood victims. 1 John 2:16 NLT For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. We know things will gradually get bad from now to when the Rapture happens, but I can’t imagine what it will be like when God’s saints will be removed from this earth along with the Holy Spirit at the time of the Rapture. Just listen to the news, flip through the channels on TV, or take a walk after sunset some evening in a dimly lit area of your community, if you have the nerve to, and you will see a multitude of things happening that is immoral. Jesus tells us it will be so bad that no other times since the beginning of time will compare. Matthew 24:21 NLT For there will be greater anguish than at any time since the world began. And it will never be so great again.
2.    The Tribulation believers represent Noah and his family. Just like Noah and his family knew the waters were receding, but they didn’t know what day they would get out of the ark. This will be the way with the Tribulation believers, they will know the end is near, but won’t know the exact hour.
3.    Noah and his family also represent believers before the Rapture takes place in a sense that he and his family believed what God had told them. They were obedient and worked on building the ark for 120 years and during this time they had to have told many of what was coming and they should repent and get ready for the flood. Noah and his family knew the end was drawing near with each part of the ark being completed, but they didn’t know for sure the hour. They were reading the signs each day as they put each piece of wood on the ark.
Verses 40 & 41: 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left.  41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. I thought these two verses pertained to the Rapture, but they don’t, read the previous verses about the flood victims very carefully. What Jesus is talking about is how the flood victims will be swept away. He is stating one man in the field and one woman at the mill will be swept away. The ones being swept away are the unbelievers. The ones remaining will be ushered into the Millennial Reign.
Verses 42 – 44: 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.  43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.  44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Jesus is telling us in these verses that we must be ready for his return at all times, not just for the Rapture, but for tonight or tomorrow. We don’t know how long we will live. We may not be here tomorrow. We have to be ready at all times and live a life of righteousness each and every day. James 4:13-14 NKJV Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit"; 14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.
Verses 45 – 51: 45 "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?  46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.  47 Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods.  48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,' 49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, 51 and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
These verses are comparing the believers (faithful and wise servant) and the unbelievers (evil servant). Every person in the world is given his life, possessions, and abilities from God, and they will all be held accountable to the Lord for what they have done with their life. The faithful and wise servants will be the believers that are engaged and doing good works and loving God with all their being along with loving their neighbors as themselves. Mark 12:30-31 NKJV AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.' This is the first commandment.  31 And the second, like it, is this: 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' There is no other commandment greater than these." In the case of the evil slave, the dominate attitude is one of calloused procrastination. He doesn’t believe his master will return any time soon, and has no reason to stop his evil activities. So he mistreats others and engages in drunken activities. Jesus words of warning to that servant are intense stating he will be cut into pieces and cast into hell because he procrastinated in getting ready for the master’s return. An awful penalty, but one earned by his activities.
At this point in time and considering everything chapter 24 has stated, have you thought about where your faith is? Is it in Jesus if he comes tonight or tomorrow? How close do you thing the Rapture is with the way the world is and what is going on? Will you see the Rapture in your lifetime? The United States isn’t the only country that is having financial issues. There are a few European countries having financial problems also. How close are we to a world currency? Can this happen? We know in chapter 13 of Revelation, verse 17, it states no one will be able to buy or sell without the mark of the beast. This sounds like some type of world currency to me.
Till next week, God Bless You!

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God!
Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth,
Unless you are Born Again, you cannot enter into Heaven, the Kingdom of God."

Last Week’s Trivia: How big was Og’s bed?
Answer: Deuteronomy 3:11 NKJV "For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the giants. Indeed his bedstead was an iron bedstead. (Is it not in Rabbah of the people of Ammon?) Nine cubits is its length and four cubits its width, according to the standard cubit. In our terms his bed measure approximately thirteen feet long and six feet wide. This is one big dude.
This week’s Trivia: What lesson can we learn from the Queen of Sheba’s visit to Solomon?
