Psalms 109:1-14 Hold not
thy peace, O God of my praise; For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the
deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying
tongue. They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against
me without a cause. For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer. And they
have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love. Set thou a wicked man
over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand. When he shall be judged, let
him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin. Let his days be few; and let another take his office. Let
his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. Let his children be
continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places. Let the extortioner
catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour. Let there be
none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his
fatherless children. Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.
Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the
sin of his mother be blotted out.
Father God I
ask that you grant each of us righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, &
gentleness as we go about our daily tasks. Help us to be still in times of
opposition and allow you to fight for us. In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
Revelation 13:1-9 NKJV
This
Chapter is all about the Antichrist, and the one that gives him his power,
Satan. In this chapter we will learn about one world order pertaining to
control, worship, and economy. These things take place in the last 3 ½ years of
the Tribulation which is also part of the third woe meaning the Seventh Trumpet
Judgment.
1 And I
stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having
seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads
the name of blasphemy.
And
I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea; This phrase represents a sea of
people not an actual water sea and the beast that rises up out of these people
will be the Antichrist. The Antichrist will be empowered by Satan to destroy
God’s people.
Having
seven heads and ten horns; We
have studied this beast in chapter 12:3 and stated at that time the seven heads
represent seven empires that have greatly persecuted Israel in the past. Those
seven Empires are Babylon, Medo-Persia, Egypt, Assyria, Greece, Rome, and the
seventh head is a “ten horned” kingdom which is yet to appear that will consist
of the Old Roman Empire.
And
upon his horns ten crowns; The
head with ten horns has yet to appear. It will be a nation of ten nations that
will begin to form before and during the first part of the Tribulation. This
unified nation will consist of the old Roman Empire which will include the
Middle East and parts of Europe. Satan will be behind the scenes orchestrating
this unification. This is where one world order will come into being. The crowns
represent rulers of nations that will come together as one in an attempt to
destroy Israel.
And
upon his heads the name of blasphemy;
The name “blasphemy” is because Satan will control these nations. Satan
blasphemes the name of God therefore the name is appropriate. Do keep in mind
at this part of the Tribulation is when Satan got thrown out of Heaven and he
is very angry.
2 And the
beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as
the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great
authority.
And
the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as
the mouth of a lion; This
beast we have mentioned before also. He is from the bottomless pit and will be
turned lose to wage war on the two witnesses of Chapter 11. Revelation 11:7 When they finish their testimony, the beast that
ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them,
and kill them. This
beast is a combination of all four beast that Daniel described for us in Daniel Chapter 7. This beast is depicted as a
brutal, savage, blood thirsty creature. The leopard is noted for swiftness and speed
to overtake its prey, the power of a bear lies in its paws and claws to tear
apart anything to devour, and a lion with a powerful jaw and canine teeth that
when once set is sure death. This beast will be aiding and abetting the
Antichrist behind the scenes. Things will move quickly during this part of the
Tribulation.
And
the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority; Do you remember who the dragon, the
red dragon is from Chapter 12 verse 3? It is Satan and Satan is the one that
gives this beast his power which in turn is directed to the Antichrist. The
Antichrist will be someone of a super power in the eyes of Israel and the world
until he breaks his peace covenant with Israel at the midpoint of the
Tribulation. If you remember after the first 3 ½ years Satan is thrown out of
Heaven to earth and wages war on God’s saints/true believers. So the Antichrist
will have all kinds of help, this beast and Satan.
3 And I saw
one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed:
and all the world wondered after the beast.
Some have interpreted this
verse as meaning that the Antichrist will suffer a wound that will appear to
have killed him, but will be miraculously resurrected, resulting in awe by the
world. This will cause people to follow him because of his power. I see and
understand how this interpretation comes about but, in verses 1 and 2 and
several following verses scripture is talking about spiritual things. So going
with spirituality this makes sense to me.
The Grecian Empire, under
Alexander the Great greatly persecuted Israel. During this time a fallen angel
was assisting Alexander in this persecution. Daniel
7:6 depicts this beast that we are talking about. With the
assistance of this angel, Alexander conquered very speedily. After this event
and Alexander’s death, the biblical evidence is that this fallen angel at that
time was locked away by God in the “bottomless pit”, and would not be allowed
freedom until the Tribulation to assist the Antichrist. Revelation 17:8 The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will
ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on
the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the
foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet
is. With this verse
from chapter 17 I think you can see what verse 3 is stating. This beast was,
then locked up, and will appear again one day to assist the Antichrist. It is
by the power of this beast that the Antichrist will do great things to get the
world to follow him.
4 And they
worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the
beast, saying, Who is like unto
the beast? Who is able to make war with him?
And
they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast; The dragon is Satan so how will they
worship him? It is through what the Antichrist does that they worship Satan. It
is Satan that gives the Antichrist the power that he has, so when the people
are worshiping the Antichrist they are actually giving worship to Satan.
And
they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is
like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him? The people will worship the
Antichrist because of his power. The questions that will be asked are such that
they will make him out to be all powerful, invincible, and wise. They will
idolize him and make him a god.
5 And there
was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was
given unto him to continue forty and
two months.
And
there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things; The antichrist will be a smooth
talker. He will be like a swamp land salesman that convinces people they need
to buy some swamp land. He will be able to convince the people that everything
will be OK and to go along with the change he proposes.
And
blasphemies; He will deceive
people and turn them against God. He will tear down or attempt to tear down
God’s Word. The Antichrist will do this because Satan will be whispering in his
ear what to say and how to say it. Satan is a master deceiver and wants to
destroy all souls so they will not go to Heaven. He must break down the thought
and the idea of God in the minds of the people, before he can set himself up as
god and obtain one world order.
And
power was given unto him to continue forty and two months;
This is referring to the last 3 ½ years of the Tribulation.
6 And he
opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his
tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
This verse gives us a
little bit more information as to how the Antichrist will blaspheme God. He
will use his eloquent tongue to convince people there is no God or Jesus. Daniel
stated this: Daniel
11:36-37 "Then
the king (Antichrist) shall do according to his own will: he shall
exalt and magnify himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the
God of gods, (against God Almighty) and shall
prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; (3 ½ years) for what has been determined shall be done. 37 He shall
regard neither the God of his fathers nor the desire of women, nor regard any
god; (eliminate
all religion) for he
shall exalt himself above them
all.
The tabernacle is
referring to Heaven and the Antichrist will declare there is no such place
along with any of God’s saints in Heaven. By means of Satan, the Antichrist
will do all he can to destroy any thought or belief of God’s Word the Bible. He
needs to do this in order to have people follow and worship him.
7 And it
was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power
was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
It
was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; This verse the Antichrist declares war
on God’s Born Again Saints. He will hunt down and persecute God’s children.
Remember this is the last 3 ½ years of the Tribulation and Satan will be banned
from Heaven which angers him greatly. He is out for vengeance and destroying
God’s Saints is how he will take out his vengeance.
And
power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations; Here is the one world order stated in
the Bible. Somehow the Antichrist will win the hearts of people around the
world and will become the world ruler. We really don’t know how this will all
take place and this is why the events that are taking place in the Middle East
presently, should be watch with Biblical knowledge.
8 And all
that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the
book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
All
that dwell upon the earth shall worship him; This verse stated that all on earth will worship the
Antichrist, all that are not Born Again Saints, that is. Here again we see one
world order pertaining to worshiping the Antichrist/Satan. Satellite TV will be
buzzing with the events in the Middle East.
Whose
names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation
of the world; This
phrase reinforces that one must be Born Again to see the Kingdom of God, John 3:3. God is the foundation of the world.
He created all things including the plan of Salvation and all things are built
on this plan of God’s. Without His plan, meaning the finished work of the Cross
and Jesus resurrection, there would be no hope. Our eternal life depends on our
faith in Jesus Christ and what He did for us on the Cross.
9 If any
man have an ear, let him hear.
This refers to human
beings having their ears tuned to spiritual things and not things of the world.
Jesus used this phrase many times throughout the New Testament. Matthew 11:15; Matthew 13:9; Matthew 13:43; Mark 4:9;
etc. This phrase is speaking to individual and not the church. At this point
the church, meaning true believers, have been Raptured to Heaven. Go back to
Chapters 2 & 3 and when this phrase is used it is directed at each of the
churches. So this message is for any person that has not had a Spiritual Birth.

Sinners
Prayer; Pray this, and if you believe it with your heart, Jesus will save you!
“Lord Jesus I know I am a sinner. I confess my sins to you; I am sorry for my
sins; I repent (Meaning, desiring to turn from a sinful lifestyle.) of all my
sins, and I am asking for your forgiveness of all of my sins. I believe that only you can forgive sin. I commit my life to you and ask you to come
into my heart, direct, and take charge of my life. I believe that you died to set me free from
my sinful lifestyle and you rose from the dead to give me eternal life, and
right now you are seated at the Right Hand of God Almighty. I believe you are
the Son of God; the only Way, the only Truth, the only Life, and my Savior.” I believe this and have faith you will make a
new person out of me, by sending the Holy Spirit to dwell in my heart and lead
me in a new life. In Jesus name I pray Amen.”
