Psalms 115:1-18 Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, But to Your name give glory, Because of Your mercy, Because of Your truth. Why should the Gentiles say, "So where is their God?" But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they do not speak; Eyes they have, but they do not see; They have ears, but they do not hear; Noses they have, but they do not smell; They have hands, but they do not handle; Feet they have, but they do not walk; Nor do they mutter through their throat. Those who make them are like them; So is everyone who trusts in them. O Israel, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield. O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield. You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield. The LORD has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless those who fear the LORD, Both small and great. May the LORD give you increase more and more, You and your children. May you be blessed by the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's; But the earth He has given to the children of men. The dead do not praise the LORD, Nor any who go down into silence. But we will bless the LORD From this time forth and forevermore. Praise the LORD!
Father God we praise you and ask that you bless us and our loved ones during this Thanksgiving Holiday. Keep us all safe in our travels to and fro. In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
Revelation 16:12-21 NKJV
In reviewing the past few lessons and looking ahead to the upcoming lessons, personally I believe these plagues will affect people from the four corners of the earth and not just the Middle East. These plagues are to get the Jewish people to repent and turn to God and at that time there will be Jewish people living around the world. Jerusalem, of course, will be the focal point because the seat of the Antichrist will be there at that time. These plagues are not spiritual things they will happen just as they are written. Bible Prophecy always comes true, but most of the time we fail to recognize worldly things that are happening because we are too busy with our personal lives, or we don’t understand what the Bible says, or the Bible is never read, or those that read the Bible read it as a history book and don’t believe what it says. When a person reads the Bible they need to seek the answers is holds, ask the Holy Spirit to unlock the scriptures, and open ones heart to the truth that it teaches and believe.
The sixth bowl involves the Euphrates River, as does the sixth trumpet. Revelation 9:14 saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates." Both judgments deal with demonically inspired military forces. The army of two hundred million in (Revelation 9:15-16 So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them.) and the army in verse 14 of this lesson 14  For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. The Euphrates is in the center of all these activities that will become known. So let’s move on to our lesson and see what it holds for us this week.
12  Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.
Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up; The Red Sea was parted; Exodus 14:21, the Jordan was parted; Joshua 3:13 And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off, the waters that come down from upstream, and they shall stand as a heap.", and here we see the Euphrates will be dried up for the nations of the East to come together to destroy Israel. Food for thought; will the heat that scorches man have an influence on the river drying up? Maybe, but probably not since this bowl is poured out and the purpose of this bowl is to dry up the river Euphrates.
So that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared; These are nations from the Orient that will participate in a great conflict driven by satanic power, the war of Armageddon. The sixth angel prepares the way for the final war of the age by drying up of the river Euphrates, allowing armies from the east to approach the vicinity of Israel.
13  And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
These unclean spirits that look like frogs will come from the mouth of the dragon meaning Satan and the mouth of the beast meaning the Antichrist and the mouth of the false prophet. These spirits will be demonic and can work miracles to deceive the nations of the east in order to get them to come together for the battle of Armageddon. These nations will be deceived to support evil, sin, and the Antichrist. These unclean spirits are of the spiritual world and will not be seen. They will be working behind the scenes in an attempt to accomplish Satan’s plan.
14  For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
During the tribulation rulers of the nations will be demonized. These rulers of other nations will be deceived by Satan with miracles in a scheme to plunge the world into turmoil and come against Israel. It will be Satan’s plan to bring them all together for that great day of battle with Jesus and His Saints. It seems these rulers will be utterly befuddled or their confidence is such that they reason, “Who is able to make war with him?” Revelation 13:4
15  "Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame."
This verse it telling us to be ready at all times. Every morning when we get up in the morning we are to put on the Armour of God to ward off the wiles of temptation. We don’t know when we will die, but one thing is for sure we will die, unless the Rapture happens first. We can’t live our life thinking that we will have tomorrow, or next month, or next year to start living for Jesus. When one lives this way they are living a life of Russian Roulette and could end up in Hell for eternity. He will be caught without his cloak of armour on, be seen naked and shamed before the Great White Throne on Judgment day.
16  And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.
The place of the battle spoken of in verse 14 is Armageddon, a Hebrew word literally meaning “Mount of Megiddo.” This will be the struggle of good and evil on the plain of Esdraelon, which was famous for two great slaughters; one of the Israelites and the death of Josiah 2 Kings 23:29 In his days Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt went to the aid of the king of Assyria, to the River Euphrates; and King Josiah went against him. And Pharaoh Necho killed him at Megiddo when he confronted him., the other of the Canaanites, Judges_4:16; Judges_5:19. Therefore, it signifies in Revelation, a place of great slaughter, the scene of a terrible retribution upon the wicked. This battle will be at the end of the Tribulation with Jesus striking down those that are sinners and putting an end to evil.
17  Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, "It is done!"
It is done! Just as Jesus said it is finished and gave up His ghost, the battle is over and evil is finished. John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. God is making a statement here that Satan; all of his evil spirits; all that live for the world; all that live to please themselves and have no time for God, are no more. They are gone and will not cause harm to God’s children any more. Those that are faithful and survive the Tribulation will be ushered into the Millennial Reign. There will only be one ruler at that time and it will be Jesus Christ. He will rule with an iron rod. There will be no more pleads of, “I had a hard childhood”. What a day that will be to live in total peace.
18  And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth.
The “voices, thunders, and lightning’s,” are similar to what is recorded at the close of the Seals, Revelation 8:5 and Trumpets Revelation 11:19. There was thunder, lightning, and an earthquake when Jesus died on the Cross too. Jesus said it is finished on the Cross and God is saying it is finished also. This earthquake will be one that could possibly be felt around the world. It will be one of such magnitude our scientist will not be able to record the severity of it. This earthquake will wreak terrible damage in the Middle East, destroy many cities, but perhaps the greatest destruction of all will be on rebuilt Babylon.
I feel it is safe to say that eternal life was born when Jesus defeated Satan on the Cross and here the gift of eternal happiness will be born when evil is wiped from this earth by Jesus. All we have to do is decide who we are going to follow, Jesus, or self.
It is very possible the seventh bowl and the Second Coming of Jesus could happen simultaneously, because Jesus said this in Matthew. Matthew 24:27-31 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.  29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:  30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. We know from verse 10 of this chapter darkness will be poured out of a bowl and envelop the Antichrists kingdom, there will be millions killed for the eagles to feed on, and there will be lightning when Jesus returns. What a glorious day this will be for those in Heaven.
This will probably be the earthquake that will split the Mount of Olives that Zechariah predicted. Zechariah 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
19  Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.
The great Babylon is referring to acts of idolatry, spiritual adultery, self indulgence, sin in general which is exactly what this world will be like when the Tribulation ends. It was Satan that inspired all that took place at Babylon and it will be Satan that will be responsible for the Antichrist, the erecting of his image, and the worship of the image. Therefore God will pour out His fiercest wrath on the city containing the seat of the Antichrist. He will remember what Satan did many years ago and He will pour out His cup of judgment upon her. This great city will be reduce to a pile of rubble with much of it, if not all falling into crevices that will open up from the earthquake. This wrath will no doubt be poured out on other cities of the Middle East that Satan has control of also.
20  Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
This verse goes on describing the power of this earthquake. It will level mountains whether the mountains are on land or in the sea. The shaking will sift the earth like a gold miner sifts a pile of soil. As the miner shakes the sieve the pile levels out and falls. We can’t imagine this happening, a whole mountain being leveled. We can’t imagine an EF5 tornado either until it happens. The one that just hit Washington, IL Sunday (11-17-2013) was only a F4, but it carried debris over a 100 miles. God is all powerful and can do things way beyond our comprehension. Just look at how He made this universe, He spoke it into existence. Anyone that does not fear God, does not know God!
21  And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.
As if sores, blood water, scorching heat, no light, great earthquakes, severe lightning and thunder weren’t enough, God is showing more of His wrath by sending down giant hailstones. These hailstones will weigh 75 to 80 pounds each. People won’t have to worry about their cars or siding being dented a little, these hailstones will demolish cars, trucks, and buildings. Even if one is in a building it will be possible for one of these mammoth stones to fall on a person and kill them.
Does this put fear in you knowing these things will happen? If it doesn’t it should, especially if you are not saved. Some believe the Rapture could happen any time which will kick off the Tribulation. Those that are saved will be Raptured and will not experience these events. If these events scare you then why not pray the prayer below with the sincerity of a repentant heart and start living a life for Jesus?
Colossians 1:16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.
All things were created through Him and for Him.
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, Most assuredly, I say to you,
unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Sinners Prayer; Pray this, and if you believe it with your heart, Jesus will save you!

“Lord Jesus I know I am a sinner.  I confess my sins to you; I am sorry for my sins; I repent (Meaning, desiring to turn from a sinful lifestyle.) of all my sins, and I am asking for your forgiveness of all of my sins.  I believe that only you can forgive sin.  I commit my life to you and ask you to come into my heart, direct, and take charge of my life.  I believe that you died to set me free from my sinful lifestyle and you rose from the dead to give me eternal life, and right now you are seated at the Right Hand of God Almighty. I believe you are the Son of God; the only Way, the only Truth, the only Life, and my Savior.”  I believe this and have faith you will make a new person out of me, by sending the Holy Spirit to dwell in my heart and lead me in a new life. In Jesus name I pray Amen.”  (John 3:16,17; Romans 3:23; 6:23; 5:8; 10:9-13; Ephesians 2:8-10; 1 John 5:11-14; 1:6-10) (Sin: Rom. 1:22-32; Gal. 5:19-21; Eph. 5:3-7)

11-13-2013 Vol. 7 Part 37 Book of Revelation (Revelation 16:1-11)

Psalms 114:1-8 When Israel went out of Egypt, The house of Jacob from a people of strange language, Judah became His sanctuary, And Israel His dominion. The sea saw it and fled; Jordan turned back. The mountains skipped like rams, The little hills like lambs. What ails you, O sea, that you fled? O Jordan, that you turned back? O mountains, that you skipped like rams? O little hills, like lambs? Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the God of Jacob, Who turned the rock into a pool of water, The flint into a fountain of waters.
Father God we praise you and ask that you sent the Holy Spirit to each of us to open our ears and change our minds and hearts in a new way to better understand you. In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
Revelation 16:1-11 NKJV
These are the last of the judgments that will be poured out on earth and mankind. These judgments resemble some of the Trumpet judgments and plagues Pharaoh and his people experience. If people don’t repent of their ways with these judgments they will not have another chance because the Battle of Armageddon will follow. The sad thing is that the majority of the people will not repent. There will only be a remnant that will. As human beings we are stiff necked and hard hearted toward God’s ways. We would much rather believe and follow the doctrine of some religion and manmade laws and customs than to place our faith exclusively in Jesus Christ and why He had to died on the Cross for us in order for us to be able to go to Heaven. We need to follow the doctrine of the Bible and not that of man because man twists the doctrine of the Bible to fit their lifestyle. The Bible is clear and Jesus stated that one must be Born Again in order to see the Kingdom of God. Any religion that preaches about a list of things you have to do, or baptism, or doing good deeds, etc. will gain you entry into Heaven have twisted the Bible verses and are lying to you to keep you in bondage to a religion.
This chapter starts another vision of John’s and as you will see these judgments come in rapid succession based on the verses. Almost one bowl per verse is poured out in succession and nothing is mentioned about these plagues being temporary so it appears they will continue right into the battle.
There is a remarkable similarity between the order of these plagues and those of the Trumpet plagues Revelation 8:2–9:21, but not identical. There is also great similarity of these plagues with the plagues placed on Egypt before the Exodus. So let’s get started and see what these similarities are.
1  Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth."
Whose voice is this loud voice? Is it God’s? Is it a messenger Angel? Let’s examine the facts that we do know. It is a loud voice of authority; it is coming from the temple where God is and as we left off in the last chapter and last verse the temple is filled with smoke meaning God is present; we also know based on last week’s lesson that no one could enter into the temple filled with smoke until these last seven plagues are poured out; this voice is giving the order to the seven angels to go and pour out their bowls, it isn’t a messenger it is a direct order from someone in authority; so based on these fact we know it is the voice of God. Revelation 15:8 The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.
2  So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.
So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore; This doesn’t sound very good with the words foul and loathsome in the description. The definition of foul as it pertains here is, covered with or containing extraneous matter which is injurious, noxious or offensive; filthy; dirty; not clean. The definition of loathsome is; disgusting; horrible; abhorred; detestable, repugnant, revolting. Both words describe this plague as one that will be of the most unpleasant for men and women to bear.
The word “sore” properly denotes a wound, opening in the skin, or an ulcer. In the New Testament the dogs came and licked Lazarus sores. Luke_16:21.  Sores is also used in the Old Testament in reference to the boils that were brought upon the Egyptians, in Exodus 9:9-12, and probably Deuteronomy 28:27; in reference to the leprosy in, Leviticus 13:18-20, Leviticus 13:23; sores were brought upon Job by Satan also in Job_2:7,8; These could very well be open draining sores because of Job scraping them and the dogs licking them. A dog will lick an open draining wound.
Came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; This plague will only inflict those that take on the mark of the beast, and worship the image. Some say this will only take place in the Middle East and others claim it will be worldwide. Why some say only in the Middle East is because of the statement, “who worship the image”. Their claim is they have to be present to worship the image. Others claim around the world because of all the news, internet, and TV coverage that will be taking place. If there will be one world order of economy, religion, and governance, then won’t people around the world take on the mark of the beast and worship his image via TV? We don’t know for sure, but verse 10 does just pertain to the Middle East with Jerusalem being the central point.
3  Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died.
Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; The color of the sea turned the color of a dead person’s blood. This color is almost black and it is rancid. The blood also coagulates and becomes very thick. This will affect all sea travel and commerce trade. Some say this sea is the Mediterranean Sea only and with the reference being to the sea it very well could be, but it could also affect other seas in the Middle East. If it does affect other seas then the shipping of oil from the Middle East could come to a complete stop that would have a huge impact on the world.
And every living creature in the sea died; This phrase is stating all living creatures in the sea will die. This tells us that this transformation of the water is also toxic to all life including human life.
4  Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.
Here again just as we saw in Chapter 8 all the wells, springs, and water tributaries will become blood again. There won’t be any water available. This also took place in Egypt thousands of years ago. If you believe the Bible, which you should, you know it will happen just as it is written in the future.
5  And I heard the angel of the waters saying: "You are righteous, O Lord, The One who is and who was and who is to be, Because You have judged these things.
And I heard the angel of the waters saying; This is telling us that angels have duties over elements of the earth, just like the four angels that were subduing the four winds in Chapter 7 and the angel that had the power over fire in Chapter 14. Revelation 7:1  After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. Revelation 14:18 And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe."
You are righteous, O Lord; This angel is declaring God to be righteous in His action of changing these bodies of water to blood, the blood of God’s people that were slain because they would not renounce Him. It is hard to imagine the vast numbers that will be slain and the severity of the divine judgment, but all this angel sees is an act of righteousness by God bringing just retribution on the guilty.
The One who is and who was and who is to be, Because You have judged these things; There is only one judge, Jesus, he hasn’t changed and never will change.
6  For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, And You have given them blood to drink. For it is their just due."
This verse goes right along with verse 5 and confirms what verse five is all about. It isn’t just the blood of those during the Tribulation, but it is the blood of God’s Saints and Prophets from the beginning of time till the time when these bowls are poured out. It is their just due meaning they have slain the saints and now it is time for them to be slain and removed from earth.
The phrase, “And You have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy,” refers to the fact that those worshiping the beast are getting their just rewards.
God takes care of and thinks highly of His Saints and Prophets. Anyone that comes against them, whether by word or deed, will pay the price. When one of His children is touched, He is touched! When one is harmed, He is harmed! And the opposite is true also; when one of His is helped, He is helped! That’s why Jesus said: Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me. Matthew 25:40 He also said: Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me. Matthew 25:45
7  And I heard another from the altar saying, "Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments."
Here again another angel is chiming in with this angel of the water and declaring God’s righteousness and that He is justified in His actions. It has been long overdue!
8  Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire.
Here we are witnessing another angel with power over an element of creation, the sun. He has the power to cause the sun to shine and burn with such power it will be unbearable to be outdoors in direct sunlight. It will be possible to cook food without any other source of heat. Without the shipping of oil from the Middle East, will there be fuel for industry? Will there be air conditioning?
9  And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.
This tells us the hope of God and that He doesn’t want to see anyone go to Hell for eternity. Even with all these plagues, mankind will not repent and turn to God. All they want to do is believe a lie and deceive themselves.
10  Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain.
Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; The previous plagues targeted mankind, but this plague is directed right at the Antichrist. Darkness will envelope the Antichrist’s kingdom, meaning the Old Roman Empire. This darkness will cause confusion and disorder in the immediate kingdom of the Antichrist. This plague also mimics an Egyptian plague. The darkness was thick, meaning you could hold your hand up in front of your face and could not see it. Exodus 10:21-23 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, darkness which may even be felt."  22 So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days.  23 They did not see one another; nor did anyone rise from his place for three days. But all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
They gnawed their tongues because of the pain; What is causing the pain? We don’t know how long each of these plagues will last except for the plague of sores. Based on the next verse people will still be afflicted with sores. Some believe the pain from these sores intensify with each passing day. It could be possible that the intense heat from the sun is still occurring and that there is no water readily available. The combination of these plagues would cause great pain. If one is sick with these sores it is possible a fever could accompany this plague, and with a fever you need water to bring the fever down and stay hydrated. If the sun is still scorching men then water is needed also to stay hydrated. Is it possible anything that contains water would become like blood? Ice cubes, soda, bottled water, etc.?
11 They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.
This verse tells us that if the people would only repent of their wicked ways, God would relieve them of their burdens. Instead of repenting the people will only curse God for what is happening to them. Things will be so corrupt during this time people will not humble themselves and turn to God. They will love what God hates, and hate what He loves. The wretched state of the world will be the results of evil taking over.

11-6-2013 Vol. 7 Part 36 Book of Revelation
Psalms 113:1-9 Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, Praise the name of the LORD! Blessed be the name of the LORD From this time forth and forevermore! From the rising of the sun to its going down The LORD's name is to be praised. The LORD is high above all nations, His glory above the heavens. Who is like the LORD our God, Who dwells on high, Who humbles Himself to behold The things that are in the heavens and in the earth? He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap, That He may seat him with princes— With the princes of His people. He grants the barren woman a home, Like a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD!
Father God we praise you and ask that you bestow you love and grace upon us and our loved ones in such a way that our relationship with you will increase. In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
Revelation 15:1-8 NKJV
This chapter is an introductory to the last seven judgments of God, those judgments being the Seven Bowl Judgments. The last few chapters, 12, 13, and 14 has given us a glimpse of what will be going on here on earth in the last 3 ½ years of the Tribulation. If you remember the last 3 ½ years of the Tribulation was kicked off with a spiritual war in the heavens and as a result of this war, Satan and his band of evil doers were cast to the earth and forbidden to ever set foot in Heaven again.  Revelation 12:7-9
The Seventh Seal Judgment was an introductory to the Seven Trumpet Judgments and the same is true for the Seventh Trumpet being an introduction to the Seven Bowl Judgments. This chapter doesn’t tell us what the judgments are, but Chapter 16 will. The Seventh Trumpet was only mentioned in 5 verses of Chapter eleven, verses 15-19, and speaks of it being time for God’s wrath to be poured out on the inhabitants of earth that haven’t accepted Jesus as their Saviour. The following chapters, 12, 13, & 14 that we have just covered tells us of other events that are happening during this time frame. Revelation 11:15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!" Revelation 11:18-19 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth."  So the seventh Trumpet is announcing the final judgments, the seven bowls, which are plagues upon mankind and it is time for Jesus to return and reign forever.
1  Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete.
Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous; This vision that John is about to describe for us containing the bowl judgments goes clear back to Exodus involving a covenant that God made with Moses and the Israelites. These judgments will display God’s power over all that He has created from the beginning of time. It is a power that is great, marvelous, and one that will or should strike fear in the unbelievers, and immediately after these judgments Jesus will descend and bring evil to an end. These great and marvelous signs will be for the protection of God’s people, those that are Born Again, to know He is coming soon. For the unbelievers it is a last calling for repentance. Exodus 34:8-10 So Moses made haste and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped.  9 Then he said, "If now I have found grace in Your sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray, go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance."  10 And He said (God): "Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the LORD. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.
Seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete; The word wrath is translated improperly in this verse. The Greek word is “thumos” which means anger. The Greek word for wrath is “orge”. So the phrase should state, “for in them the “anger” of God is complete. These last seven plagues will complete God’s plan for this earth. His anger will be poured out on all the evilness of this world. When He finishes it, it will be complete and Jesus will rule from then on.
2  And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God.
And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire; Back in Revelation 4:6, “a sea of glass” was spoken of, but there is something different here with this sea of glass. Do you know what it is? In verse 6 of chapter 4 the sea of glass was like crystal but this time it is mingled with fire. Crystal represents purity, holiness, and God’s righteousness, while fire in this verse represents God’s wrath, anger, and judgment. Revelation 4:6 Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.
Those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name; These that have victory over the beast have resisted worshiping his image, not receiving his mark, or taking on his name. By the power of the Holy Spirit they have been able to stand steadfast with the armor of God on. This represents a third group that will be redeemed during the Tribulation. The first was the souls robed in white that were under the altar Revelation 7:9, and the second was the 144,000 of Chapter 14.
Standing on the sea of glass having harps of God: This is a peaceful scene and one that gives peace and rest to those persecuted by the Antichrist during the last half of the Tribulation. They are in God’s Throne room and there is no other place of complete rest in the universe like God’s Throne room. These standing here have victory over the Antichrist and have been redeemed by the life saving blood of Jesus Christ. The harps in their hands represent the praise and worship they are about to give to God Almighty for being saved.
3  They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying: "Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints!
They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying; The song of Moses was one of thanksgiving and praise to God by the Israelite for being delivered from Egyptian bondage Exodus Chapter 15. The song of the Lamb begins with the Crucifixion Psalm 22 and closes with Jesus Christ as King of kings, and Lord of lords, in Revelation Chapter 19.
Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty! Just and true are Your ways, O King of the saints; Great and marvelous are your works pertains to what Jesus did for us on the Cross in our place. There is nothing greater than this. It is a true and pure definition of love. Jesus is the King, His ways are true, and when one follows Jesus with a sincere and contrite heart they will be justified by His shed blood.
4  Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You, For Your judgments have been manifested."
This verse jumps ahead to the Millennial Reign. After the Battle of Armageddon those on earth will be ushered into the thousand year reign of Jesus sitting on the throne and ruling here on earth with His Saints. Who shall not fear Him? All will fear Him and glorify His name because they will have witnessed His power and will clearly see His uprightness against sin.
5  After these things I looked, and behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened.
After these things I looked, and behold; This phrase is referring to it being time to pour out the final judgments of God and bring the evilness on earth to an end that Satan started in the Garden of Eden.
The temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened; This refers to the Holy of Holies, where the Ark of the Covenant was kept, which contained the Ten Commandments. The mention of this brings us back to Exodus where Moses was instructed to build a tabernacle of tent for God to dwell in. The word “tabernacle” means a booth, hut, tent, and was the name commonly given to the tent or tabernacle that was erected in the wilderness.
6  And out of the temple came the seven angels having the seven plagues, clothed in pure bright linen, and having their chests girded with golden bands.
Out of the temple came the seven angels; These seven angels come directly out of the temple, the actual dwelling place of God.
Having the seven plagues; These seven plagues are the last of God’s judgments to be poured out on earth. You might say it will be the last call to repentance. If those on earth don’t repent of their sinful lifestyles, then they will be cast into the Lake of Fire.
Clothed in pure bright linen; These angels are clothed in the same manner as Jesus in chapter one. Revelation 1:13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. White linen of course signifies purity and righteousness.
Having their chests girded with golden bands; Girded with bands of gold signifies the rank of these angels and what they are about to do pertains solely to the Work of Christ. Jesus is in charge of all of the Judgments; the Seals, the Trumpets, and the Bowls. The One Who is the Saviour will be the Judge.

7  Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God who lives forever and ever.
Then one of the four living creatures; This is one of the creatures described in chapter 4 that sit around the Throne. Revelation 4:7-8 The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.  8 The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!"
Gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls full of the wrath of God; These judgments will be worse than any other of the previous judgments. Why do I say that? It is because these bowls are full to the brim; to the point of over flowing. This is the way it will be with God; He can’t take anymore, He has had it, He is like a volcano ready to burst because of the sin on earth.
Who lives forever and ever; This tells us God is eternal, with no end.
8  The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power, and no one was able to enter the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.
The temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from His power; Many places in the Bible when God appeared there was smoke. He led the Israelite by fire at night and a cloud of smoke by day. 2 Chronicles 5:13-14 indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying: "For He is good, For His mercy endures forever," that the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud,  14 so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God. Isaiah 4:5; Isaiah 6:4; Exodus 19:18
No one was able to enter the temple till the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed; Why would this be that no one would be able to enter the temple until the seven bowl plagues were complete? It is because that way no one would enter to make intercession for those on earth; to turn away God’s wrath; to divert God from his purpose. The punishment had been formed, and would certainly be executed. You ask is this possible, yes it most certainly is. Moses interceded for the Israelite and as a result God spared them. Exodus 32:10-11 Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation."  11 Then Moses pleaded with the LORD his God, and said: "LORD, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people whom You have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?

Psalms 112:1-10 Praise the LORD! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, Who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in his house, And his righteousness endures forever. Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion. Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance. He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established; He will not be afraid, Until he sees his desire upon his enemies. He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor. The wicked will see it and be grieved; He will gnash his teeth and melt away; The desire of the wicked shall perish.
Father God we praise you and give you the glory for all things. You are the potter and we are the clay. So I ask that you reshape all that read your lesson into a new creation. In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
Revelation 14:14-20 NKJV
This week’s lesson has more angels with messages for us, messages that are harsh. Verses 1-5 of this chapter are about salvation and eternal happiness; verses 6-13 are about not so good and what happens to those not accepting Jesus as their Saviour; and the verses this week are about God’s judgment. A judgment that is hard for the human mind to comprehend. The description of God’s wrath at the end of this lesson is one human’s don’t want to believe. So in studying this chapter I will remember it by the good, the bad, and the ugly.
14  Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle.
Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man; White signifies purity, without blemish, and holiness and a cloud denotes glory. The Son of Man is in reference to the humanity of Jesus Christ and what He did for us on the Cross at Calvary.
Having on His head a golden crown; This gold crown is a victor’s crown. Jesus is the only one that did or ever will defeat Satan. It is only through Jesus victory over sin that we can be washed in His blood and be redeemed. All we have to do is repent, ask forgiveness, and ask Jesus into our lives so we can be joint heirs with Him.
And in His hand a sharp sickle; This sickle of judgment in Jesus hand is not one that will be reaping in his saints, but one to reap the lost of the world into Hell. It will be the battle of Armageddon.
15  And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, "Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe."
Here we have an angel coming out of the temple and announcing the time has come to remove evil from this earth. Angels not only are messengers it almost appears they are time keepers, but we know this can’t be true because God only knows the hour of things to take place. The first angel of this chapter preached the Gospel, the second announced the fall of Babylon, the third warned about taking the mark of the beast, and the fourth one here is announcing the battle of Armageddon. They are definitely messengers for God.
16  So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.
He who sat on the cloud is of course referring to Jesus and in His hands is a sickle to harvest the earth. He will remove the sinful from earth; it will be the beginning of the Battle of Armageddon. He will wipe out evil from among the people like a farmer removes the weeds from his field.
17  Then another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
Angel number five makes his debut also carrying a sharp sickle. This tells us not to take these things lightly. This reaping is being mentioned twice to get the attention of the reader. This verse also tells us that angels will also play a part in the Battle of Armageddon. They will be right there with Jesus and the Saints in this battle.
18  And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe."
This sixth angel came out from the altar, the brazen altar where sacrifices were made before God. This angel had the power over fire meaning it was one of his duties to keep the fire lit. It is no doubt the altar that was used as a model for the one Moses constructed. This angel stood in front of the altar and shouted for the fifth angel to thrust in his sickle to lop off the clusters from the vine. This angel is stating it is time; the end is here for the wicked to perish from earth. The grapes fully ripe meaning that evil is at its peak and it is time for something to be done.
19  So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
This angel isn’t harvesting grapes; he is harvesting souls, corrupt souls and throwing them in the winepress which is the judgment of God. The sentence of this judgment will be an eternity judgment carried out in the Lake of Fire. This judgment has been predicted for thousands of years.
Isaiah 63:1-6 Who is this who comes from Edom, With dyed garments from Bozrah, This One who is glorious in His apparel, Traveling in the greatness of His strength?— "I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save."  2 Why is Your apparel red, And Your garments like one who treads in the winepress?  3 "I have trodden the winepress alone, And from the peoples no one was with Me. For I have trodden them in My anger, And trampled them in My fury; Their blood is sprinkled upon My garments, And I have stained all My robes.  4 For the day of vengeance is in My heart, And the year of My redeemed has come.  5 I looked, but there was no one to help, And I wondered That there was no one to uphold; Therefore My own arm brought salvation for Me; And My own fury, it sustained Me.  6 I have trodden down the peoples in My anger, Made them drunk in My fury, And brought down their strength to the earth." Lamentations 1:15 "The Lord has trampled underfoot all my mighty men in my midst; He has called an assembly against me To crush my young men; The Lord trampled as in a winepress The virgin daughter of Judah. Joel 3:12-13 "Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; For there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations.  13 Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, go down; For the winepress is full, The vats overflow— For their wickedness is great."
20  And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses' bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs.
And the winepress was trampled outside the city; This phrase actually refers to the battle of Armageddon and the many nations surrounding Jerusalem pressing in to destroy the city and the Jewish people. A winepress is a large vat or trough where grapes are crushed after being gathered. They are crushed by means of a press being turned down or the grapes trampled on by people to extract the juice. The juice flows out of a duct that leads to a large holding vat. The winepress is often used in the Bible as a symbol of God's wrath and judgment against sin. Another way to picture this that puts a chill down my spine is to think of a cardboard compactor or a car crusher. This verse is why I call this lesson, “the ugly”.
And blood came out of the winepress; This isn’t a press for grapes it is a press to destroy the wicked. This isn’t a very comforting scene being described.  So many people only want to think of God as love, kind, merciful, forgiving and He has no anger, judgment, or violence about Him. People that accept this about God are deceiving themselves so they can live a lifestyle they want and not what God wants of them. These people are deceiving themselves and live for their spiritual father, Satan. John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. God loves us as His creation/human being, but it is our sinful lifestyle that we inherited from Adam via Satan that he hates and as a result sends people to Hell that don’t accept Jesus as their Lord and King. The word hate equates to condemnation as stated in 1 John 3:14-15 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.  15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
Up to the horses' bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs; This is not a picture we want to embrace as human beings. How can this be, Jesus and this angel plunging in their sickle and destroying millions of people? It is because our God is a just God and his judgment is black and white with no gray areas. If a person places their faith in Jesus, they are saved, if not they are doomed.
How long is 1600 furlongs? Is a distance of about 175 miles and the depth of the blood would be approximately 5-6 feet deep. The picture painted here for us tells us that millions or billions will die.
To those not used to vivid descriptions of God's anger in judgment, these are disturbing descriptions. We as people dislike the idea of other people, even evil ones, being trampled like grapes. The depth and length of the blood flow provides a sickening scene of the sheer size of God's judgment. But unless we face the necessity of God's judgment, we will never see our desperate need for his mercy. A God with only a grandfatherly kindness would not inspire our repentance, obedience, or worship. God has promised a harsh harvest for those who reject him. Those who know God well enough to fear his wrath know God well enough to desire his grace. The crushing wrath of God is coming. Blessed are those who have had their sins forgiven.
Colossians 1:16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.

Sinners Prayer; Pray this, and if you believe it with your heart, Jesus will save you!
